Universal Studios Orlando Resort is one of the most popular vacation destinations in the world, rivaling that of Walt Disney World Resort. With countless attractions inside its doors, some of the most popular just dropped from the latest batch of merchandise.

After the acquisition of Marvel Studios by The Walt Disney Company in 2009 and the opening of Avengers Campus at the Disneyland Resort, the future of Marvel heroes remaining at Universal Studios Orlando, as the x-menhas been the subject of much discussion.
Some fans are already seeing Marvel’s Superhero Island at Universal Orlando’s Islands of Adventure as a thing of the past, calling for a complete overhaul to make way for a the Lord of the Rings earth or more. Others still cling to this area of the park as if it just opened yesterday.

The original theme for Islands of Adventure was “Cartoon World”, with a “DC Superhero Island” originally planned for this latest Marvel Super Hero Island. Since then, Universal’s idea of this land has been somewhat forgotten as the land doesn’t offer a cohesive story and is just plain confusing when walking through it.
The land hasn’t had a significant facelift in over 20 years, except for updates to the projection quality of The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man attraction. There are bottlenecks as you head into Toon Lagoon (another ancient land with lots of potential), and there’s even dead space in Marvel Land.
The country’s most exciting rides, The Incredible Hulk Coaster and The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, however, have disappeared from recent merchandise bags found at Universal Studios Orlando, Hollywood and Japan resorts, making way for new fun. their place:

The Incredible Hulk Coaster, The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, Spongeboband Shrek 4-D were previous crowned icons of Universal Studios Parks & Resorts merchandising, but jurassic world (2015) and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter threw them on the sidewalk.

Universal Studios hasn’t given an update on the future of Marvel’s Super Hero Island, but with the recent closure and wipeout of Shrek 4-D from Universal Studios Orlando, Universal is redefining which attractions are the flagship rides that customers appreciate the most.

Every Marvel Fan was quick to respond to the news, pointing out that following Marvel’s updated licensing agreement with The Walt Disney Company, Universal Studios must refrain from using Marvel properties in ads:

I bet Shrek’s departure was the final nail in the coffin. Two of the 4 things on the bag only exist as a meet and greet, that’s not great. Also, as of 2019, they now share designs across multiple resorts for merchandise and bags… well, more than before. Learn from Disney

The Incredible Hulk Coaster and The Amazing Adventures with Spider-Man likely remain in Islands of Adventure at Universal Orlando. Universal aims to use a three-station style of merchandise packaging.
Universal Orlando is the only theme park to host these two beloved and thrilling Marvel attractions. Universal aims to target a wider audience with more available entertainment and attractions.
