Odakyu Hotel Hatsuhana in Hakone has been closed since last December for renovations, but it will finally reopen on September 11, 2022. This luxury hotel is located along the Sukumo River, just 10 minutes by car or bus from Hakone-Yumoto Station. So far we only have artists’ impressions of the hotel, but that’s enough to get us hooked.
There will be 35 sumptuous rooms in total, each equipped with its own private open-air baths.

There will also be two communal baths and four additional private baths that you can rent. One of the most private is this breathtaking rooftop infinity bath with a spectacular view of Mount Yusakayama.

The hotel restaurant will serve modern kaiseki meals blending Western elements with Japanese cuisine. And to celebrate the grand reopening, it will offer an exclusive multi-course meal featuring special dishes made with fall ingredients.

The hotel will also have a relaxation area, a boutique gallery, a lounge, a library and even an outdoor terrace open to all guests.
Prices start from ¥43,000 per person depending on the day, and reservations are open through the website now.
