Katsuya has just opened at the Hyde Hotel Dubai…

It’s no secret that the Crown Prince of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, is a big fan of the city’s food scene. Although he’s well known for popping up in some of the city’s trendiest restaurants, he seems to have stepped it up lately.

The latest restaurant to welcome Sheikh Hamdan is the new Japanese restaurant Katsuya, which recently opened in the cool new urban hotel Hyde Hotel Dubai. The Crown Prince visited on Wednesday, February 9, to enjoy a meal featuring dishes created by head chef Pavel Nigai.

Japanese restaurant Slick Katsuya originated in LA, along with many other locations across the United States, where it is often frequented by celebrities such as Jay Z, Kim Kardashian and Brad Pitt. The original Katsuya Dubai was in Jumeirah Al Naseem, but has now moved to its new location in Business Bay.
