Luxury hotel company Aman to market and operate yacht: Travel Weekly

The luxury hotel company Aman is designing its first yacht, a 50-suite ship scheduled for entry into service in 2025.

The 600-foot yacht is being developed as part of a joint venture between Aman and Cruise Saudi, an entity owned by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Partners call the effort “Project Sama”.

Aman is partnering with Sinot on the architecture and design of the yacht, which will feature the oriental heritage and design philosophy of Aman. Aman said he will take over the operations and management of the yacht, “ensuring that guests enjoy the Aman way of life on board, in every sense of the word.”

The 50 suites will have a private balcony. Aman provides a range of dining options, including an informal all-day restaurant, international dining options, and a club and lounge.

Aman Spa will include a Japanese garden. The plans also call for two helipads and a “Beach Club” which will give customers direct access to the water at the back of the yacht.

The name of the yacht will be announced at a later date.

Aman CEO Vlad Doronin said the yacht project “marks an exciting moment in Aman’s growth and evolution, as we continue to not only diversify our geographic portfolio on land, but also at sea” .

Doronin added that the Aman yacht “will provide transformative experiences within the revered setting and service of Aman unlike any other yacht experience.”

Aman operates 33 luxury hotels and resorts.
