House of Pies will bring the next location to Cypress

House of Pies officials have confirmed that the restaurant’s fifth location is slated to open this fall at PDQ’s former location, 25686 Hwy. 290, Cypress.

The restaurant specializes in pies with flavors ranging from lemon cooler and cream cheese to strawberries with sweet potato, buttermilk, coconut cream, German chocolate and French silk. Cakes, cheesecakes and other baked goods are also on the menu.

Wishbone Pet Care will open another location on March 22 at 17034 University Blvd., Ste. 200, Sugar Land, according to owner Tammi Bui.

Camp Bow Wow aims for Humble dog care facility to open in spring

Camp Bow Wow, a national dog care franchise, will open a new location in late April or early May at 11321 N. Sam Houston Parkway E., Humble. Franchisee Christine Reese said the facility will offer a variety of dog services, including daycare, boarding with a 24-hour surveillance system, and grooming. The facility will also offer training in the future.

Writespace, a literary arts organization offering workshops and classes to develop writers of all kinds, is temporarily shutting down for the remainder of the month, the nonprofit announced on March 9.
