Designed to reinterpret Japanese cuisine in Dubai, Origami was launched in 2014 to make fresh, quality sushi casually accessible, with their flagship store located on the top floor of Al Souq Mall at Umm Suqeim 3. Eight years later, their values ​​remain firm. The brand retains custom and ritual as it progresses, delivering a dining experience harboring respected craftsmanship in an immersive recovery of Japan’s most revered underground sushi bars; no frills, imperfect and simplistic.

Origami’s new branch will be in operation from mid-April, just in time to serve unparalleled Japanese dishes with an Arabesque twist for a satisfying iftar every night during Ramadan. True to the authentic and intimate Japanese and Arabic dining experience, the venue will only seat 40 people. While the menu will still house some of Origami’s best-selling dishes, it will feature a range of exciting new fusion creations, offering something new in every section of the menu.

The long-standing establishment’s refreshed menu will feature new dishes such as karaage chicken (AED47), salmon in chips (AED29), beef katsu (AED59), cauliflower popcorn (35 AED), salmon tataki (AED58), and unagi and foie gras (AED97) as part of the small dishes, sashimi and uramaki sections. Dedicating a whole new section to grilled goods, Origami is ready to serve up indulgent new additions such as grilled chicken wings (AED48), grilled sea bass with tomato salsa (AED99), and tsukune shrimp (AED51).

Known not only for its distinct Japanese culinary creations, but also for its unique interiors and seating design that draws inspiration from centuries-old Japanese and Arabic culinary traditions where groups sit on a carpeted floor, Origami is truly a place special that perfects the customer experience. from start to finish while showcasing their personality through food, interiors and service.
