Here are today’s top three stories at Cedar Park-Leander:

  1. Yesterday, JLL Capital Markets announced that it has arranged financing for the acquisition of La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham. JLL secured a five-year fixed rate loan for Door Capital Partners (the borrower) through Alliance Bank Central Texas. La Quinta Inn & Suites is a 75-room hotel located at 1010 E. Whitestone Boulevard in Cedar Park. La Quinta offers a mix of traditional rooms and suites, a fitness center, laundry facilities, indoor pool, and more. (Hotel information resource)
  2. On April 23, celebrate Trails Day and Redline Drive Initiative are hosting an event that includes a bike ride and a chance to learn about the planned 32-mile linear park and public space along the Capital Metro Red Line from downtown Austin to Leander. The park isn’t finished yet, but the bike ride will be 12 miles long and people can explore the finished parts. Once complete, people will be able to walk from San Antonio to Leander on paved trails.   3. Shogun Japanese Grill & Sushi Bar is known for its steak, fresh fish, sushi and hibachi experience. Restaurant will open in a Cedar Park location in September 2022, at 11023 Pecan Park Boulevard, which was previously occupied by Fuddruckers. (Community Impact Newspaper)
